Photo Composition (NSFW)

I have been asked by clients to use their own photography for their corporate brochures and websites recently.

Apart from the usual quality discussions, a couple of instances have reminded me of one of the basic fundamentals of good photography – composition.

None of the photos I have shown here originates from any of my clients, but they do illustrate (in an amusing fashion) some of the problems encountered when any photographer doesn’t pay attention to exactly what is in the foreground and background of their picture.

  1. good point….well illustrated…LOL

  2. Thanks, tried to get the point accross with some humor.

Can be an issue though, that one anomaly in the background can make a shot at worst unuseable and at best require a lot of post production work.

As you both know the camera is not what makes a great picture but rather the photographer.

That’s why some time ago i went back to basics and learnt about drawing Art regarding line of site and composition etc.

Overnight this improved my photography no end.

Dave thanks for this article very handy indeed for us all.
